Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal information HERBANDZ collects, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. It is written to be read, not to be survived.
What we collect
When you place an order we collect your name, email address, shipping address and order contents. Card details are entered on Stripe’s checkout and are never sent to or stored on our servers — we receive only a confirmation and the last four digits.
When you join the newsletter we collect your email address and which page you signed up from.
When you email us we keep that correspondence so we can help you.
What we store in your browser
Your cart is kept in your browser’s local storage under the key “herzband_cart”. It holds only product identifiers and quantities, never payment information, and it never leaves your device until you check out.
We do not set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Stripe sets its own cookies during checkout, which are governed by Stripe’s privacy policy.
Why we use it
To take payment, fulfil and deliver your order, and handle returns.
To send you the emails you asked for. Every marketing email carries a one-click unsubscribe, and unsubscribing never affects order-related messages.
To understand, in aggregate, which pages people find useful.
Who we share it with
Only the services required to run the shop: our payment processor (Stripe), our shipping carriers, and our email provider. Each receives the minimum needed to do its job.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept for seven years, which is the period tax law requires. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. Support emails are kept for two years.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@herzband.com and we will respond within 30 days.
If you are in California, the EU or the UK you have additional statutory rights, including the right to object to processing and to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority.
